The Rolling Offer Effect: 25% More Web Store Depositors, 56% of Store Revenue

We’ve seen Rolling Offers perform well across many partner stores - but one recent rollout really stood out.

In just 24 hours:

  • Rolling Offers drove 56% of total web store revenue
  • 64% of players who bought once came back to buy again
  • Web store depositors increased by 25%
  • ARPU and ARPPU both grew

That last point matters: this uplift didn’t come from slashing prices or pushing cheap bundles. The Rolling Offer had a higher average price point than other offers. The uplift came from a well-designed progression that kept players engaged.

And despite the spike, existing offer types held steady without significant cannibalization. The Rolling Offer wasn’t just effective, it was additive.

So - what is a Rolling Offer?

At its core, the Rolling Offer is a progression-based offer sequence. Players unlock a series of tiles, some free, some paid, and each completed tile opens up the next. It’s built to drive repeat purchases by tapping into progression psychology and the desire to unlock what’s next. Here’s how it works:

  • Players see a clear sequence of upcoming offers (usually 4–8 tiles ahead).

  • Some tiles are free collections, others are paid offers.

  • Completing a tile unlocks the next one—creating a natural momentum loop.

  • Timers and limited-time mechanics add urgency and boost engagement

Why does it work so well?

64% of players who made a purchase in the Rolling Offer continued to make a second purchase.

Rolling Offers combine some of the most effective monetization principles we’ve seen, especially in free-to-play games where retention and repeat purchase behavior are so important.

Progression = Motivation

Players are more likely to engage when there’s a visible path forward. Unlike static offers, Rolling Offers introduce a goal-oriented structure where players complete each step to unlock the next. That sense of momentum creates internal motivation (similar to leveling up or completing a quest).

Increasing value = Better economics

Each step in the Rolling Offer sequence can escalate in value, either through better price-to-offer ratios compared to regular store offers in similar prices, exclusive rewards, or a free tile that builds goodwill and incentive to keep spending.

The Rolling Offer gives publishers the flexibility to front-load engagement, while optimizing for higher deposits deeper into the sequence. It’s a structure that mirrors what we’ve seen first-hand succeed inside top grossing mobile games, just applied to the store.

Visibility = FOMO

Seeing what’s next is a powerful driver. When the next tile contains something enticing, especially if it’s limited-time, players are more likely to convert now rather than wait. And because they don’t have to guess what’s coming, it removes friction and decision fatigue. You’d be surprised how much revenue is lost when players don’t know what happens after they buy.

Built to be flexible

Rolling Offers are fully customizable, so each publisher can fine-tune how they work for their game and their audience.

You can:

  • Tailor sequences to player segments

  • Define cooldown timers between reappearances.

  • Mix free and paid tiles in any order.

  • Control the pricing logic, visuals, and animations.

  • Run A/B tests on progression paths to find your best-performing configuration.

We’ve also added full control over discounts, sales emblems, and tile designs, so teams can experiment with different incentive mechanics without touching any code. And better yet? Running Rolling Offers doesn't cause any significant cannibalization to the revenue made from other offer types.

We’re excited to keep helping our partners unlock more value from their web stores, and Rolling Offers have become a standout tool in that journey. If you’re curious to see it in action, watch our demo video here. And if you’re already working with us, your Account Manager can help you start designing your first sequence today.
